Individual's does not get any more: Offbeat Guides now offers personalized travel guide that is compiled based on customer requests.
It works like this [via ]:
The client answer a few questions regarding his trip idea and then gets a custom-compiled guide. This can either download for about $ 10 in PDF to print at home or on a mobile terminal to take, or he pays about $ 25 and get the guide sent within 4 working days. Here, the customer can send the guide to his hotel. In this way it can be guaranteed that the travel information is kept current. Such a system can even share the latest events and the latest weather information is processed in the guidebook.
The data come from different sources. eg Wikipedia, Wikitravel, Google, Yahoo services, weather pages, event pages, etc. supplemented this data by purchasing information, and a separate database. At the start of the project 30 000 destinations are listed.

I wonder whether such an automatically generated guide to the quality demands of consumers can be just, or whether the data need not be still improved by man. We'll see. The offer any event has great potential in my opinion.
